Founding Engineer

Rockstar is recruiting for a cutting-edge AI platform company that accelerates hardware innovation at scale. Our client is building an AI-enabled platform that helps hardware companies build more reliable products faster, shaving months off their schedules and millions of dollars off their budgets. They have recently raised a $2.6M pre-seed and have onboarded some of the world's largest and most respected hardware companies as paying customers.

Role

The role is exactly what you think it is. The candidate will:

• Write and ship clean code, working across the company's stack
• Be able to wear the product hat at times
• Wear whatever other hats they want! It's a startup

Tech Stack

• Frontend : React, TypeScript, NextJS, Apollo
• Backend : Django, Postgres, Strawberry
• AI : OpenAI API, instructor, pgvector

On the AI front, they have built a RAG platform that hardware teams are using and are building agents on top of it. Note that the ground is shifting under everyone's feet, so they are constantly trying new things.

Job Details

• Salary Range : $150-180k
• The company is part of Start-Up New York, which means full-time employees are exempt from city and state income tax
  (We know... crazy, right? You can probably pay ~half your rent with the tax savings)
• Equity Range : 0.5-1%
• Excellent health/dental insurance
