Job Description: The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and machinery. This role is crucial to ensuring our clients' operations continue efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues with equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and more
- Replace and repair parts as needed
- Use diagnostic tools and follow technical manuals
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
