Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Fixed Assets Intern. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide network of people in Engineering and Finance.

The Fixed Assets Intern will work with the engineering team, under the guidance of our Sr. Financial Analyst, to collect the documentation needed for capitalization, identify the assets, tag them and process them. They will also work with the team that builds equipment for other sites to properly document the work being done and ensure proper billing and transfer is done.

Key Responsibilities

Document assets for capitalization with the support of a Sr. Financial Analyst

Confirm with engineering asset status (in use, pending, etc.)

Locate, photograph and document assets and their location

Work with the engineering and finance team to resolve open asset topics

Ensure all fixed assets are properly coded

Participates in monthly closing process, including journal entry preparation

What We're Looking For

Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college

GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date

Studying Accounting, Finance or related field

Interested in learning and working with a wide network of people in Engineering and Finance
