Position: First Assistant / Surgical Tech

Location: Mesa, AZ

Schedule: Full-Time or Part Time (3-4 Days/Week)

Travel: No

Compensation: $70k - $90k / year

The First Assistant / Surgical Technician is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for assisting surgeons, ensuring operating room efficiency, and maintaining a sterile surgical environment. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, knowledgeable in best practice surgical protocols, and capable of handling the physical demands of the role.

• Prepare and sterilize the operating room before procedures.
• Set up instruments, equipment, and supplies required for surgery.
• Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgical procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon while maintaining a sterile field.
• Assist in surgical tasks such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, and hemostasis.
• Restock surgical supplies and update inventory after procedures.
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments properly.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety.
• Adhere to all surgical policies and protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in continued education and training to stay updated on surgical techniques.

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program (USA).
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
