Fire Alarm Estimator

Firetrol Protection Systems, a leading provider of fire protection and life safety services, is seeking a talented Fire Alarm Estimator to join our dynamic team. With over 37 years of experience, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions and achieving excellence in the fire protection industry. This position is based in our Dallas, Texas location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete and accurate estimates of fire alarm system projects, ensuring all aspects of the project scope are considered.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the best materials are selected for each project.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals for both public and private sector projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to gather information pertinent to projects.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, sales team, and leadership to clarify and finalize project specifications and delivery timelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to fire alarm systems to incorporate best practices into estimates.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in the fire alarm or electrical trades.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and regulations as they pertain to fire alarm systems.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications:

• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
