Finance Analyst

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join our team. This is our first full-time finance hire. You will report directly to the President/COO, and work closely with leadership to identify gaps and opportunities by analyzing data, creating reports, and supporting high-level decision-making. You'll provide data-driven recommendations to support new product launches, distribution expansions, and retailer partnerships.

This is a very hands-on role in a scrappy and rapidly growing company. If you're highly skilled in Excel and enjoy the hustle of a start-up, we?d love to hear from you.

• Analyze sales performance across grocery retailers and broker networks to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
• Develop and maintain reports to track sales metrics, distribution, and promotional effectiveness
• Analyze trade spend and promotional performance to optimize ROI
• Develop post-promotion analysis to guide future investment decisions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial goals are met
• Conduct cost analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reporting across product lines and retailers
• Evaluate broker network performance, including sales targets, account growth, and compliance with company initiatives
• Collaborate with brokers to ensure alignment on sales strategies and provide data-driven insights to enhance performance
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualizations to support sales, finance, marketing and operations
• Provide knowledge and understanding of business and financial impacts to leadership based on reporting
• Help solve problems and find ways to save money

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in a finance or analyst role
• Expert-level Excel skills (we mean itthis is our main reporting tool)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Scrappy, aka comfortable working with imperfect or rapidly changing datasets
• Clear and effective communication; ability to communicate data to all levels of the team
• A love for numbers, details, and finding answers
