Fiber Ground Hand

GAC Enterprises, LLC is currently seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to join our team. As an Aerial Ground Hand, you will be responsible for assisting in installing, maintaining, and repairing our customer's telecommunications facilities. You will need to have an excellent working knowledge of telecommunications construction and be familiar with aerial lift devices, utility lines, poles, and their functionality. Additionally, you should have the ability to identify and troubleshoot effectively. Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Ability to learn to operate bucket truck following all safety and traffic regulations
• Learn and assist in pole framing and placement of strand, fiber
• Pull lasher - Trim trees - Operate hand and power tools of all types
• Assist in the installation of down guys and anchors
• Assist in job site planning and prep.
• Assist with the direction of traffic flow per local D.O.T. guidelines
• Demonstrate knowledge of construction prints as well as the ability to read print
• Assist foreman and lineman in maintaining and caring for tools, equipment, and trucks.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
• Excellent computer proficiency
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
• High school diploma or G.E.D. (Preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred)
• D.O.T. Med card (Preferred)
• OSHA10 & 30 Certifications (Preferred)

• Ability to operate the bucket and climb poles (Preferred)

Workplace & Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, as well as in all weather conditions and rugged terrains
