The core mission of the Federal Marketing Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing marketing team within a global growth marketing team and be our first marketing hire dedicated to the Public Sector in both, the US and Europe. The first 6 months of this role will be focused on establishing a regional demand strategy and optimizing the program as a second phase. More specifically, you will focus on:

  • Work closely with the Fed/SLED Sales Team, developing marketing programs and integrated demand generation campaigns that align directly with their goals.
  • Influence lead generation and attributed revenue goals from Public Sector and University focussed partners
  • Work closely with the Fed/SLED Channel Director to ensure a close alignment on priorities and goals
  • Own Field Marketing events that are tied to the Fed/SLED team
  • Be a conduit between the greater marketing team and the Fed/SLED team. You will operate under the direction of the SVP of Federal/SLED and provide information back to the larger marketing team.
  • Event logistics and management on all field marketing events tied to the Fed/SLED space in the US and Europe.
The fellowship you'll be joining:

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Growth Marketing and operationally to the SVP of Federal/SLED, you will join a team of over 25 marketers and the wider revenue team of the Fed/SLED revenue organization. You'll work closely with the wider marketing department (product managers, SoMe, designers) as well as the sales people across the globe to design and deliver holistic lead gen campaigns.

  • Own the Fed/SLED marketing strategy from ideation through to execution.
  • Create and manage our regional Fed/SLED marketing campaigns, programs, and strategic field events in coordination with clear objectives, key metrics, and outcomes with our Fed/SLED Sales Team and global stakeholders
  • Provide consistent communication on campaign performance and key metrics to stakeholders, including marketing and sales teams
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to incorporate Fed/SLED campaigns across multiple routes to market in field events as well as other pillar campaigns (ex: Global CTFs)
  • Build relationships with and work closely with key stakeholders on the global & regional marketing teams to develop go-to-market plans that create and accelerate demand with partners
  • Be a conduit into the global marketing team for initiatives that the Fed/SLEd team is pursuing (8140, ANAB, ENISA accreditations)
Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Federal Marketing Specialist at Hack The Box:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional marketing experience, ideally in the US Public Sector realm, especially in cybersecurity.
  • Experience in field marketing is required
  • Can balance both analytical and creative thinking, comfortable working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience building marketing campaigns and using tools like HubSpot
  • Comfortable creating strategies and rolling up sleeves to deliver, ensuring we execute with the greatest impact.
  • Great collaborator, a track record of successfully working closely with cross-functional teams, especially in close collaboration with sales
