Facility Safety Manager

We are looking for a working Safety Manager who is dedicated to both internal and external customers alike to manage the overall Safety program . Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
• Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• Communicate safety policies and updates effectively across the organization
• Serve as a safety resource and advisor to all levels of the organization
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causesand handle worker's compensation claims
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred or a combination of education and experience
• Minimum 5 years medium to large scale commercial, government, or industrial manufacturing facility, including at least 3 years management level safety profession experience
• Proven experience as Safety Manager
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards.

• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies

• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
