The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and overall functionality of the site, ensuring that all building systems, and grounds operate efficiently and safely.

This role involves managing a team of facilities staff, coordinating with external vendors, and handling day-to-day operations to ensure a clean, safe, and productive environment.

This role also oversees the facility is compliant with all environmental regulations. Ares of responsibilities includes but not limited to buildings/grounds, fire protection, lighting, power distribution, process cooling, compressed air, cranes, dock equipment, racking, forklifts, and PITs.

Job Responsibilities

Facility:

Oversee daily operations of the site, ensuring buildings, grounds, and facilities are well- maintained and fully functional

Manage building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc) ensuring they are in good working order

Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Manage facility projects that support site goals and meet planned cost/timing

Justify facility projects and submit appropriation requests

Manage preventive maintenance and repairs of site infrastructure and mobile equipment

Evaluate equipment life cycles and budget equipment replacement costs

Provide and implement productivity suggestions including electricity rebates

Monitor utility consumption, communicate financial impacts, and participate in utility contract decisions

Manage department spending within planned budgets

Provide facility services that meet or exceed internal customer expectations

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and be actively involved in our PEAK operating system

Environmental, Health, and Safety:

Assure environmental compliance with all EPA, Federal, State and Local regulations

Manage environmental sustainability with a focus on energy conservation and waste stream minimization

Manage Safety Culture including vision, goals, objectives, measurements, and behavior-based safety (BBS) and associate involvement

Manage Proactive safety processes including contractor safety, temp service safety, JSA, safety and housekeeping audits, ergonomics, and heat stress

Assure compliance with OSHA regulations by managing relevant safety programs including Emergency Action Plans, LOTO, PPE, Confined Space, Fire Protection, Electrical Safety, PIT, Personnel Lifts, Overhead Cranes, Gov?t Admin Requirements, Elevated Work, Hot Work, Chains and Slings, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Haz Com, Fleet Safety, Machine Safeguarding

Assist the Leadership Team with the development of new products, processes, and procedures to ensure that environmental, and health and safety is given the highest priority

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. Degree in an associated field (preferably an engineering discipline) with at least 10 years of experience in the areas of facility management, environmental, health and safety; or

At least 15 years of experience in the areas of facility management, environmental, health and safety

Experience working in a matrix environment

Demonstrated experience successfully executing multiple, concurrent priorities

Software experience using AutoCAD, MicroMain, WorkForce, Microsoft office

RCRA/DOT certification a plus

Experience in managing large projects using internal and external resources
