Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our dynamic team at Garrett and Fields Dental in Cleveland, Ohio. As an EFDA, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures, providing patient care, and performing expanded functions such as placing fillings and other restorative materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures and operations.
Perform expanded functions, including placing and carving dental restorative materials.
Take impressions and prepare dental radiographs (X-rays).
Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices.
Maintain a clean and sterile working environment following health and safety regulations.
Manage dental supplies and instruments, ensuring availability for procedures.
Record patient information and treatment plans accurately.
Work closely with the dental team to provide excellent patient care and support.

Work Environment:

Works primarily in a dental office or clinic.
May require standing for extended periods and interacting with patients of all ages.

Salary:

$35.00 Hourly

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm - Every other Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm

Requirements

Valid Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) certification.
Completion of an accredited dental hygiene or EFDA program.
State licensure as necessary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
