Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our dynamic team at Garrett and Fields Dental in Cleveland, Ohio. As an EFDA, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures, providing patient care, and performing expanded functions such as placing fillings and other restorative materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures and operations.
• Perform expanded functions, including placing and carving dental restorative materials.
• Take impressions and prepare dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain a clean and sterile working environment following health and safety regulations.
• Manage dental supplies and instruments, ensuring availability for procedures.
• Record patient information and treatment plans accurately.
• Work closely with the dental team to provide excellent patient care and support.

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in a dental office or clinic.
• May require standing for extended periods and interacting with patients of all ages.

Salary:

• $35.00 Hourly

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm - Every other Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm

Requirements

• Valid Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) certification.
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene or EFDA program.
• State licensure as necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
