Job Description


The New York office of Akin is seeking one associate with two to three years of experience to join its Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits group. The ideal candidate will have experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with corporate transactions and financial restructurings and the securities aspects of executive compensation, including public company disclosure. Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience preferred. The Executive Compensation and Benefits Group at Akin advises public and private companies, private equity and funds clients, executives and lenders and creditors on a full range of matters relating to compensation and benefit plans and arrangements, including issues arising in the areas of the mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and restructuring, corporate governance and securities and tax compliance. This position is required to be available to work in person. All employees are required to comply with the firm?s employment policies.
