Job Description


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Event Assistant to support the coordination and execution of weddings and events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys client interaction, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and assist at weddings and events on-site
  • Greet guests prior to the start of each event with warmth and professionalism
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout events to ensure timely response to guest needs or concerns
  • Inspect event spaces before guest arrival to confirm all elements match the function sheet (room layout, signage, menus, d?cor, etc.)
  • Assist with event set-up, break-down, and clean-up, including handling furniture, d?cor, and rentals
  • Account for all event equipment and supplies before and after each function
  • Ensure the return or proper arrangement of any client or rental company items post-event
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, guests, and team members
  • Collaborate with the event lead and other staff to ensure smooth event flow
  • Uphold the company's standards of professionalism, reliability, and excellence

Work Schedule:

  • This is an on-call or part-time position depending on the event schedule
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in hospitality, events, or customer service preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, guest-focused demeanor
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments
  • Basic understanding of event flow, vendor coordination, and setup logistics is a plus

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the event schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or move for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to participate in physical event setup and breakdown, including cleaning tasks
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from event locations

Organizational & Operational Expectations

  • Punctuality and professionalism are essential
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting event spaces and ensuring all elements align with the function plan
  • Responsible for managing and returning all client and rental materials post-event
  • Ability to follow direction and collaborate with event leads, vendors, and venue staff
  • Must maintain a polished appearance and represent the company's standards of excellence at all times
