Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to efficiently move large recreational vehicles (RVs) around our property. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of operations, from service and maintenance to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely move RVs to designated locations, including PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), cleaning areas, and storage lots.
  • Stage at least six RVs at all times for service technicians.
  • Relocate completed RVs to designated delivery locations for drivers.
  • Collaborate with technicians and drivers to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all RV movements are performed with care to prevent damage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: One year of experience operating a sit-down forklift and maneuvering large trailers.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and workplace efficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to Lift and Move Heavy Objects: Lifting, pushing, and pulling, often requiring the individual to move vehicles of significant size and weight.
  • Standing, Walking, and Bending: This includes staging RVs, moving them to different locations, and ensuring safe operation.
  • Driving and Operating Machinery: Maneuvering large trailers, which can require long periods of sitting and driving. The individual must have the physical stamina to operate this machinery safely throughout their shifts.
  • Manual Dexterity and Coordination: The role demands fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to operate forklifts and other equipment and to ensure careful and safe movement of vehicles.
  • Outdoor Work and Exposure to the Elements: The ability to handle varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, and potential rain.
  • Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing are necessary to operate machinery safely and to communicate effectively with other team members, especially in noisy environments.
  • Climbing and Stairs: The ability to climb ladders or steps in and around RVs to inspect and ensure the safe operation of equipment may be necessary.
