Sheppard Mullin is a full-service firm with over 1,200 attorneys across 16 global offices. The Chicago office is comprised of 68 attorneys working in diverse practices such as Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental, Labor & Employment, Business Litigation, Corporate & Securities, Intellectual Property, and others.
Sheppard Mullin?s Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance practice comprises more than 120 attorneys ? 65 of whom are dedicated all-day-every-day to energy law ? with preeminent expertise in renewable energy and the energy markets. We are a leader in representing participants in energy development, finance and M&A. We work on projects ranging in size, geographic distribution, technology and legal/commercial structure, for sponsors with a range of capital needs, cost of capital, sensitivity to providing credit support, accounting consolidation considerations and asset hold strategies. We structure, negotiate, staff and execute transactions to accomplish our clients? goals. We work seamlessly together to help clients navigate the full range of financial, tax, technical, business, regulatory and political issues impacting the sector.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.4
- Strong research and writing skills
- Evidence of initiative and ability to handle responsibility
- Demonstrated interest or coursework in energy, infrastructure, project finance, or related transactional practice areas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic practice
- Prior internship, externship, or clerkship experience in transactional law (preferred but not required)
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service
- Attention to detail and effective time management

Compensation:
