The Opportunity Glaser Weil is seeking a junior associate to join our Firm?s entertainment practice to assist a talent-side transactional entertainment attorney. This is an entry-level position on a busy desk which provides extensive exposure to transactional entertainment legal work. Responsibilities are both administrative and substantive. Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibility for phone, clerical, and administrative support Building and maintaining precedent charts, deal summaries and other reports, as needed Assisting with preparation of legal documents and redlines, drafting letters and other correspondence, and reviewing and editing prepared documents for accuracy Exposure to all aspects of talent representation As position progresses, opportunity to negotiate with film and television studios and production companies as well as draft provisions/agreements (e.g. acting agreements, producer agreements, shopping agreements) Qualifications: JD and California bar admission required (will consider candidates currently awaiting July 2025 bar results) Prior experience in entertainment law preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional demeanor with excellent phone manner to handle significant client contact Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and excel under pressure Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team Strong interest in working with talent in the entertainment industry Additional Requirements: Must be willing to work in person in Century City office. The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. These numbers do not reflect a successful candidate?s total compensation. Base compensation is only the guaranteed component of the total compensation package and does not include discretionary bonuses and the other career-enhancing opportunities of joining the Firm.
