ENT Medical Receptionist

Essential Position Functions:

• Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting and directing them in a friendly, prompt and helpful manner.
• Instructs new patients in completion of medical history and information forms.
• Maintains accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information by verifying this information at each patient encounter.
• Manages patient flow by providing timely check-in procedures upon arrival and notifying medical support staff of patient arrival.
• Sets up medical records for new patients and inserts updated information into established patient medical records.
• To ensure accuracy of insurance and patient billing and patient contact information, enters patient demographic and insurance information correctly into computer system.
• To ensure payment for services rendered, ensures that referrals are received, if required, or waiver is signed prior to patient being seen in absence of required referral.
• Performs other duties as required

• None

Requirements

• High school education or G.E.D. equivalent. Completion of a two-year course for medical assistant would be an advantage.
• Recent experience and patient contact responsibility in a medical practice is required.
• This position will be bonded.
• Possess a preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help.
• Possess the tact to deal effectively with patients, physicians and other employees in the practice.
• Possess a knowledge and experience with modern office procedures and office equipment and medical terminology.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday at Riddle (Media, PA) and Brinton Lake (Glen Mills) offices

Hours would be 4p to 8p
