We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong grasp of emerging technologies and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, ensuring quality and consistency across projects, and mentoring team members to help them reach their full potential. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, reliable products that align with business objectives.
Requirements
Responsibilities- Define and delegate tasks aligned with business and engineering objectives.
- Monitor progress across multiple projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Collaborate with sales, design, and product teams to drive innovation and align engineering efforts with product goals.
- Take full ownership of project delivery and ensure systems are built with scalability and reliability in mind.
- Plan and lead engineering meetings, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive execution of sprints, manage OKRs, and maintain alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of overall software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in managing software development teams.
- Strong experience in running agile sprints and managing engineering OKRs.
- Solid understanding of both transactional and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency with messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Exposure to data pipelines and Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Strong team leadership and project management skills.
- Expertise in building scalable and distributed systems.
- Proficient in Java and/or Python , with strong knowledge of multithreading and backend architecture.
