The Akamai Cloud Technology Engineering team owns, develops and manages the solutions used by our engineers globally. These solutions help to run one of the largest distributed systems in the world. We collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to create innovative, powerful, scalable, reliable and secure systems.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team designing, building, and deploying user-friendly solutions for Akamai developers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, overseeing vulnerability and patch management reporting for Akamai's engineering community.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of software engineers
Developing tools for both patch and vulnerability management and reporting across the development lifecycle.
Participating in technical design, product specifications reviews, projects and backlog planning
Planning your teams sprints, collaborate with product and engineering leaders and project managers
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 8
years' experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or another related field or its equivalent
Have 3
years of experience in vulnerability management, security engineering, or a related field
Have 3
years in a leadership role with a focus on security or compliance
Have experience supporting compliance frameworks (such as FedRAMP, SOC2, PCI, and ISO)
Have great team management experience and excellent communication and documentation skills
