We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Leader to help lead and craft the vision, strategy, and execution of the engineering efforts at Session AI.

We are based in Milpitas, California, with an India center in Mumbai, and Kolkata

The Engineering Leader is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the engineering strategy and roadmap. The ideal candidate will be working closely with other executives and departments, such as product management, design, and operations, to ensure that the engineering team is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Job responsibilities:

1. We are looking for a hands-on leader with experience in developing and executing the engineering strategy and roadmap in line with the company's overall goals and objectives.
2. Building and managing a high-performing engineering team, providing leadership, mentorship, and coaching to ensure the team can deliver high-quality products.
3. Collaborating with other executives and departments, such as product management, customer success, and operations, to ensure the engineering team is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
4. Overseeing the development and maintenance of systems and processes to support the delivery of high-quality SaaS products with ML, and ensuring that the engineering team is using best practices and following industry standards.
5. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in technology and engineering, and ensuring that the engineering team is continuously learning and improving.
6. If needed, represent the company in discussions with customers, partners, and other stakeholders, and communicate the company's engineering vision and strategy.

Requirements

1. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. Significant experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering high-quality products.
3. Strong technical knowledge and experience with software development and engineering best practices.
4. Experience in leading development of a cloud based product/platform with analytic capabilities.
5. Experience in distributed high-volume computing.
6. Excellent leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the company's engineering vision and strategy to a variety of audiences.
8. A track record of staying up-to-date with the latest developments in technology and engineering, and continuously learning and improving.
