We are currently looking for a passionate and resourceful Employment Specialist to join our team. The Employment Specialist will play a crucial role in helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting employment. This position requires a blend of interpersonal skills, understanding of job market dynamics, and a commitment to fostering opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client skills, interests, and barriers to employment, creating individualized action plans tailored to their goals.
• Conduct job readiness training sessions, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Identify job openings, assist with applications, and help clients navigate the hiring process.
• Provide ongoing support in the workplace to help clients adapt and succeed in their roles.
• Maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and promote inclusive hiring practices.
• Monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed, providing motivational support throughout the employment journey.
• Document client interactions and outcomes, ensuring compliance with funding and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, career counseling, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proficient in job placement strategies and understanding of local labor market trends.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and employers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously.
• Knowledge of disability rights and accommodations in the workplace is a plus.
• Compassionate and patient attitude towards clients, with an empowering mindset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for on-the-job duties.
