Job Description

Goodwin seeks a driven associate (law school class years 2020-2023) to join our fast-paced Employment Practice supporting a client base of Tech, Life Sciences, and Private Equity clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and broad experience with employment litigation and counseling. Litigation responsibilities include: working on trade secret and employee mobility litigation, PAGA and wage and hour class actions, high profile single plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases, founder disputes, pre-litigation matters, and responding to agency charges. The ideal candidate will also have experience providing day-to-day advice to clients on various aspects of employment law (e.g. terminations, harassment and discrimination issues, policy review, drafting employment-related agreements including employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements and separation agreements). Experience providing employment-related support for M&A and other corporate transactions is a plus.

The position offers the opportunity to assume significant responsibility and work directly with an impressive list of leading and cutting-edge technology clients. Goodwin offers robust training and mentorship programs, including practice area retreats, shadowing opportunities, and off-site academies. Candidates applying for associate positions with Goodwin should have outstanding academic credentials, outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to work independently as well as in a team setting. Relevant California bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.
