Delphi Healthcare is in search of an Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a critical role, available as either a locum or permanent position. As a leading provider of healthcare staffing solutions in rural healthcare settings across Western and Upstate New York, we understand the unique challenges faced by emergency departments in these areas. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients with a variety of acute conditions.
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and establish treatment plans based on the evaluation of patients.
- Lead care teams in the emergency department to ensure effective coordination and delivery of services.
- Utilize appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures in the management of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding their treatment plans and health conditions.
- Participate in hospital committees focused on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Work effectively alongside advanced practice providers and nursing staff in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred; eligibility may be considered for those in training.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
- Prior experience in an emergency medicine setting is highly desirable.
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required.
- Strong decision-making abilities and the capability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth and a passion for emergency medicine.
