Job Description


What you'll do:
  • Provide technical direction and support during the development, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy assets.
  • Ensure all projects meet design standards and maintain high-quality engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with customers, utilities, AHJs, and third-party consultants to support the design and engineering of complex projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, new project requirements, and emerging trends to inform project strategies.
  • Share technical knowledge by coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout various project phases.
  • Deliver design, modeling, and technical support from initial customer solution designs through to successful project implementation and operation.
  • Model and optimize engineering designs, review engineering studies (load flow and short circuit analysis), create networking designs for site communication to meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Create preliminary 1-line for projects in development to depict equipment sizing and interconnection topologies.
  • Provide technical support to O&M team for operational systems.

Requirements Who you are:

  • BSEE with a passion for power systems and renewable energy or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in power generation including MV distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with Battery storage systems (BESS) with or without PV projects coupled.
  • Knowledge on Interconnection Application requirement in multiple ISOs.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A lifelong learner committed to staying ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in the renewables and environment industry, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions that accelerate the energy transition.
  • Familiarity of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures.
  • Experience with energy generation technologies including one or more of the following: solar, wind, battery storage, geothermal, biomass, fuel cells, EV charging.
  • Working autonomously on deadline-driven projects, your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will ensure on-time delivery to stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects, consulting engineers and vendors, negotiate contracts and oversee schedules of deliverables
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Recommended extras
  • Professional Engineering license, EIT or PE track.
  • Field experience commissioning distributed generation equipment.
  • Experience designing distributed generation, isochronous grids.
  • SCADA Protections and Controls Experience
