Director-Strategy

Role Summary:

Messe Muenchen India is seeking a strategic and growth-focused professional to join as Director - Strategy. This role works closely with the CEO as a strategic sparring partner to shape and execute business growth strategies across the IMEA region. The Director - Strategy will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, identify new growth opportunities, and drive cross-functional alignment to maximize market impact.

Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and positioning across IMEA.

Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and evaluate competitive threats.

Execute growth strategies through cross-functional collaboration and effective project management.

Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new market opportunities and potential risks.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, customers, and government agencies.

Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and financial indicators to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations.

Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the trade fairs industry and incorporate them into the company's strategy.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).

A minimum of 12 years' experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in B2B industries.

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

Strong business acumen and financial literacy.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Experience in trade fairs, events, publications, or allied industries is a plus.
