As a pivotal leader within Accruent, the

Director of Product Management, Platforms

will be responsible for shaping and executing the One Accruent Reporting and Platform strategy. This role entails reporting directly to the CPO and leading a team of product managers and product owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where innovation is key. The Director will ensure that our platform initiatives align with business objectives and meet the evolving needs of our customers. With 2025 on the horizon as a significant year for growth and transformation, your ability to not only leverage AI and other emerging technologies but also build them into our solutions, will be critical to our success.

Key Responsibilities

Visionary Leadership

Define Strategic Vision: Articulate a clear and compelling vision for the One Accruent platform and unified reporting capabilities, focusing on innovation and alignment with company goals.

Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitive platforms and industry trends to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge.

DREAM Process Leadership

Strategic Approval Pathway: Lead strategies for various elements of the One Accruent platform through our DREAM process to gain approval and prioritization from stakeholders.

Facilitate Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams during the DREAM process to ensure all perspectives are considered in strategic planning.

Business Case Development

Create Strong Business Cases: Develop comprehensive business cases for major initiatives that showcase impact, cost savings, revenue potential, and other key elements contributing to a positive return on investment (ROI).

Data-Driven Insights: Utilize market research and analytics to support business case arguments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Team Leadership

Lead Product Managers and Owners: Manage and mentor a team of product managers and product owners, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Support Epic and Story Oversight: Ensure team is aware of all PI planning targets and work to support them or remove blockers as needed.

Cross-Portfolio Collaboration

Gather Requirements: Collaborate with General Managers (GMs) and product managers across portfolios to gather comprehensive requirements that enhance the One Accruent platform.

Foster Synergies: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to drive alignment and execution of the product strategy.

Customer Mapping and Migration Planning

Lead Customer Mapping Initiatives: Develop detailed plans for migrating clients to new capabilities within the One Accruent platform.

Engage Stakeholders for Approval: Gain approval for migration plans by presenting clear strategies that minimize disruption while maximizing value for clients.

Special Projects Management

Manage Special Projects: Take ownership of special projects related to One Accruent, ensuring they are executed effectively and contribute to the overall platform strategy.

Adaptability: Be flexible in addressing emerging needs within the team and organization.

Stakeholder Engagement

Communicate Progress: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress and incorporating feedback to enhance collaboration.

Facilitate Innovation: Encourage an environment where innovative ideas can flourish through open communication and active listening.

Strategic Prioritization

Define Priorities: Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer feedback, business goals, and technical feasibility.

Data-Informed Decisions: Utilize data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making regarding product development.

Performance Measurement

Establish KPIs: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the One Accruent platform, tracking performance over time to inform future strategies.

Continuous Improvement: Leverage insights from performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in product offerings.

Qualifications:

Product Management 5-8 years

Clear understanding of reporting and data strategies within B2B SaaS businesses and markets

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, computer science) or equivalent work experience.

Clear and proficient understanding of the various types of AI for use within day-to-day activities but also inclusion within our product and strategy going forward

Proven experience in senior-level product management, including a distinguished track record of orchestrating successful and innovative product launches in dynamic market conditions.

Advanced understanding of Agile and progressive product management methodologies.

Ability to drive the creation and approval of clearly defined business cases from concept through approval, launch, and ultimately tracking outcomes post launch

Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse teams.

Analytical mindset and a demonstrated ability to leverage innovative data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Expertise in market research and competitive analysis, with a keen awareness of evolving industry trends and a focus on innovative solutions.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills to navigate complex and dynamic environments.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive innovative results in a matrixed organization.

Strategic thinking and adept problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for anticipating and adapting to market changes.

Certifications (optional):

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

Pragmatic Marketing Certified (PMC)

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Location: Austin or the surrounding Central Texas region with the ability to drive into the office, located in the Domain, for special events or meetings as requested.

This is classified as a hybrid role where working from home is enabled however in-office meetings or events require attendance in-person.

Travel:

This role will require 25% travel to visit with customers and participate in annual conferences and other events.

You will also be required to attend Fortive and Accruent Kaizen events and other activities which may be held in the Austin office or in other geo-locations.

This position is also eligible for bonus and equity as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 141,400.00 - 262,600.00
