Director of Product Management, Climate and Weather

We are looking for a technical, user-focused Product Leader to lead the product team for Climate and Weather. The Climate and Weather Product leader will work across cross-functional teams at NVIDIA to deliver innovative and high quality capabilities in Earth-2 to our users. They will lead the team establishing product strategy, setting roadmaps, providing go-to-market strategies and engaging the Climate and Weather ecosystem. They will work with software developers, hardware developers and research scientists to enable researchers to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Earth-2 is a high priority and visible effort while Climate and Weather is an exciting area to drive strategy. We need a self-starting leader to continue to grow this area. What You'll Be Doing:

Leading, growing, and managing a team of product managers and developer relations managers defining Earth-2 and related Climate and Weather products and engaging the ecosystem

Building market analysis that provides the data to enter or change new markets through a clear value proposition

Serve as the voice of climate and weather developers and researchers to champion their needs through roadmaps and drive adoption of our product

Work closely with engineering to set requirements and priorities

Engage customers and present at conferences

Define the Earth-2 go-to-market strategy and contribute to the cross-functional implementation of the plan across Marketing, PR, Sales, etc

What We Need To See:

Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)

Extensive background in Climate Science, with familiarity in numerical methods, AI techniques and the Climate and Weather ecosystem

Meaningful experience in a technical product leadership role at a technology company

At least 10 overall years experience delivering software, libraries and SDKs

At least 5 years managing technical or product teams

World-class communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

Experience with large scale high performance computing or AI workflows

Familiarity with latest developemnts in AI for Climate methods

Experience with CUDA or GPU computing

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
