The Director of Power Distribution Engineering will lead and manage the design and permitting processes for power distribution projects. This role is critical in overseeing engineering design, technical drawings, and compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure successful and timely project delivery. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Director will guide the technical design standards, support permitting activities, and ensure all projects meet industry standards and company objectives for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

Responsabilities:

  • Direct and manage the power distribution engineering team, setting technical standards and ensuring adherence to best practices in design and drafting.
  • Oversee the creation and review of technical drawings and specifications for power distribution systems to ensure precision, clarity, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical direction on the design of power distribution systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to complete detailed design documentation, including wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and load calculations.
  • Lead the permitting process for power distribution projects, coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure timely approvals.
  • Ensure that all designs and project plans comply with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Establish and monitor quality control processes for design and permitting activities, ensuring high standards are maintained across all projects.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and audits to verify accuracy and regulatory compliance, making adjustments as needed to meet project and safety objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power distribution engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of design, permitting, and regulatory compliance in power distribution.
