Zaelab is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of PMO & Delivery Excellence to lead our Project Management Office and drive consistent, high-impact delivery across a complex portfolio of Professional Services engagements. This leader will play a critical role in maturing our delivery operations, standardizing project execution, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring a best-in-class client experience. This high-accountability position demands operational rigor, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to navigate complexity at scale.

Your Responsibilities

PMO Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the evolution of our PMO into a strategic function that drives repeatability, quality, and accountability across all client engagements.
  • Establish enterprise-wide project governance, delivery frameworks, and portfolio visibility.
  • Align project outcomes with business goals, including revenue, margin, and client satisfaction, while balancing risk and execution across a dynamic portfolio.

Delivery Excellence & Operational Maturity

  • Implement and enforce standards, playbooks, and delivery methodologies tailored to complex B2B and CPQ implementation projects.
  • Own the project health reporting framework tracking schedule, budget, resource burn, risk, and compliance.
  • Ensure consistent project kickoff, scoping, change control, and closeout procedures.

Portfolio Oversight & Risk Management

  • Oversee a high-volume, multi-client project portfolio with a focus on delivery feasibility, resource optimization, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Identify delivery risks and proactively intervene to resolve resourcing, scope, or client challenges before escalation.
  • Provide regular health checks, forecasts, and status updates to executive leadership.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a globally distributed team of program managers, project managers, and business analysts.
  • Cultivate a culture of delivery excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Champion knowledge sharing, retrospectives, and lessons learned as part of the organizational fabric.

Client-Centric Partnership

  • Act as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and client executives.
  • Drive post-project reviews and ensure feedback loops inform delivery improvements and client retention strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Practice Leaders, Client Services, and Resource Management to ensure smooth transitions from scoping to delivery.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in project and program management within a Professional Services or consulting environment
  • 5+ years in a PMO leadership role overseeing complex, multi-client portfolios
  • Proven success delivering B2B software implementations, CPQ, CRM, ERP, or similar systems
  • Deep understanding of both client services dynamics and internal delivery operations in high-complexity environments
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong financial acumen ability to manage project P&L, utilization, and gross margin
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA, PMP, or SAFe certification strongly preferred)
