Job Description

The Director of Fine Arts at Senior Action is responsible for managing and leading the Fine Arts Program at a non profit organization that focuses on the over 55 population. Believing that creativity in all of its forms (visual art, music, dance, creative writing, etc.) is an essential component to a high quality of life at any age, Senior Action's Fine Arts Center is a one-of-a kind center for people to explore and continue their love of the arts. The center director is responsible for planning and implementation of courses in each discipline, using professional instructors from the community, and volunteers to build a robust thriving program in the arts. The center Director works collaboratively with other arts organizations to grow Senior Action's reputation as a premier arts organization specifically focused on the aging population. The Director manages the program budget and assists with fundraising and grant writing efforts to support the program.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have a college degree in one of the fine arts and have 3-5 years experince in program management and design. The Director will be organized and able to manage a busy program with many simultaneous activities occuring each day. Knowledge of the arts community in Greenville is an added benefit as well as grant writing and fundraising experience.
