Lovingly has ambitious growth plans, and we're building a motivated, diverse team to help double our market share domestically and internationally. As Director of Engineering, you'll be the technical cornerstone, overseeing engineering efforts that span B2B and D2C platforms, AI-driven solutions, and scalable infrastructuresall aligned with our mission of creating exceptional gifting experiences.

What you'll do

• Lead hands-on technical development and strategic planning.
• Mentor and build high-performing engineering teams focused on continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Drive the modernization of Lovingly's tech stack, integrating AI and machine learning to enhance our product and workflow efficiency.
• Oversee infrastructure management with an emphasis on security, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX/UI, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and technical feasibility.
• Implement and maintain robust development practices, including CI/CD and comprehensive QA processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Proven expertise in leading technical projects, re-platforming, and AI technologies.
• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.
• Alignment with Lovingly's LLAMA philosophy, emphasizing innovation, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving.
  

Note : Job candidates must reside within 60 miles of Hopewell Junction, NY

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is between 150K - 190K based on skills, experience, and background.
