We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Digital Platform Services Leader to lead a team of experts in designing and delivering secure, scalable orchestration and container management platforms. This role blends product leadership, technical expertise, and team management to drive innovative solutions aligned with business goals. The leader in this role will define and execute the vision, roadmap, and strategy for platform engineering services, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and mission objectives. This position reports to Raytheon Program Digital Services and will play a key role in fostering cross-functional collaboration, advancing digital transformation, and enabling business growth through cutting-edge platform solutions.

What you will Do:

As a product leader, you will define the vision and roadmap for platform engineering initiatives, ensuring they deliver measurable business value. You will drive collaboration across disciplines, manage the product lifecycle, and optimize digital platforms based on insights, analytics, and evolving customer needs. This role is central to advancing Raytheon?s mission through cutting-edge digital transformation and platform solutions.

Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision, minimum viable product (MVP), and roadmap for Raytheon?s orchestration and container management platforms. Align technical objectives with organizational priorities to maximize impact.

Team Leadership: Build and lead ahigh-performing team, including hiring, onboarding and retaining top talent

Workforce Planning and Management: Plan workloads and prioritize tasks to maintain team productivity

Financial Analysis: Conduct ROI assessments to prioritize initiatives that balance business value, feasibility, and effort.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and program personnel, to align on goals, requirements, and success metrics.

Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including development, deployment, and continuous optimization, ensuring platforms evolve to meet emerging needs.

Data-Driven Decisions: Implement and oversee measurement plans to assess product success, leveraging usage analytics, customer research, and market insights.

Operational Excellence: Drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices to optimize platform performance and scalability across on-premises, cloud, and air-gapped environments.

Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate to define release plans and strategies, ensuring successful adoption of new platform capabilities.

Qualifications you Must Have:

Typically, a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing product teams.

Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to develop and launch successful products.

Experience in driving product strategy, vision, and execution in alignment with business objectives.

Experience engaging diverse stakeholders across technical and business domains.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and lifecycle management best practices.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and orchestration platforms.

Experience conducting ROI analysis and prioritize projects based on business value.

Experience in air-gapped or regulated environments, including DoD networks.

Proficiency in Terraform, Packer, and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms like Rancher, OpenShift, or VMware Tanzu.

Experience in delivering scalable, secure, high-performance solutions.

Experience using analytics tools to derive actionable insights and inform product decisions.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate?s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
