Job Description
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Memphis, TN.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
(Intermediate):
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS
This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire, must be 21 years old to obtain CDL. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. ORDER, DOT Physical and DMV Report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
This position will be a part of the FTA pool. ORDER, FTA Drug Test
Hours are 7AM- 3:30PM and are subject to change depending on business needs.
