Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Data Integration Solutions Architect to design, architect, implement, and test data integration solutions. This role involves managing both inbound and outbound data integrations with clients, vendors, and internal We are looking for a seasoned Senior Mainframe Developer with strong programming and analytical skills, along with prior experience in technical leadership or mentorship. The contractor will play a vital role in the enhancement and support of Judiciary applications, primarily focusing on development and maintenance within a COBOL/CICS/DB2 mainframe environment. The individual must have excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and the capability to manage multiple responsibilities including analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and production support. systems, ensuring that requirements are translated into technical deliverables. The position requires close collaboration with business owners and stakeholders to define and align requirements with business needs and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Develop a thorough understanding of the Judiciary's Criminal Case Management System and related applications to effectively translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to interpret system specifications and implement business requirements.
• Write new or update existing COBOL/CICS/DB2 programs based on functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct unit testing on developed code and assist end-users during system testing phases.
• Document program logic, technical configurations, and any customizations to support future maintenance efforts.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support, including responding to production incidents.
• Work under the supervision of an ITO Project Manager or a designated representative, following established processes and quality standards.
• Support system upgrades and enhancements, including involvement in data and system conversions when required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical education and experience.
• 5+ years of recent hands-on experience in development, testing, and troubleshooting of COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications.
• Strong command of IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and related mainframe utilities.
• Solid experience with CICS transaction management.
• Familiarity with data conversion techniques, particularly migrating from IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2 , is preferred.
• Experience with MQ programming or APPC/LU 6.2 in a COBOL-CICS environment is a plus.
• Competence in developing and maintaining complex DB2 stored procedures .
• Proven ability to work directly with end-users to support system and usability testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
