Dental Assistant

Compensation:

• Base: $21.37/hour--take home
• H&W: $4.57/hour--allocated for medical, dental, vision, or cash in lieu of benefits
• Total Compensation (Base + H&W): $21.37+ $4.57= $26.84/hour
• PTO: up to 80 hours annually (accrued per pay period)
• Sick Leave: up to 56 hours annually (accrued per pay period)
• Federal Holidays Paid

Responsibilities:

• Assist Dental Officer in various dental specialty sections
• Enter patient information into the Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR)
• Prepare dental instruments, materials, and medications
• Provide dental health education and screening examinations
• Perform routine oral prophylaxis and assist in emergency cases
• Maintain dental equipment and perform sterilization procedures

Requirements

• Specialty training or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school
• CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• Minimum of two (2) years of Dental Assistant experience
• Training in dental radiology and radiology safety
