Database Administrator (DBA)

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) .

This is a full-time position and requires at least ONE DAY onsite at the any of the following locations :

Ogden, UT

Oklahoma City, OK

Montgomery, AL

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the performance, security, and availability of SQL and Oracle databases.
Implement database changes and monitor system performance and health.
Perform backups and recovery tasks, including developing disaster recovery plans.
Troubleshoot database issues and optimize SQL queries for performance.
Collaborate with development teams to provide database design and architectural recommendations.
Monitor database environment and provide regular status reports to management.
Stay updated on the latest database trends and technologies.
Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Candidate MUST have Active Secret Clearance
3+ years of experience in database administration and management.
Proficiency with SQL Server or Oracle databases
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
