Responsibilities
- Design and implement database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing support to application developers.
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for database management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database needs and enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in database design and management.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with one or more database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication skills.
- Experience with performance tuning and database replication is a plus.
