Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, and maintain database management systems.

2. Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning.

3. Ensure regular backups and develop recovery plans for data restoration.

4. Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

5. Provide support for database issues and perform troubleshooting.

6. Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve data access.

7. Create and maintain documentation for database procedures and standards.

8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends in database technologies.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

Knowledge of database design and normalization principles.

Familiarity with performance tuning, replication, and backup strategies.

Understanding of data security and compliance standards.

Scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.

3. Experience with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
