Data Governance Consultant

DGR Systems is looking for a Data Governance Consultant to design and deliver consulting services and that can support the sales cycle around the service offerings.

This individual will be a key collaborator with other functions of the organization such as Business Development, and other Professional Services practices. Specifically, this position will set and drive the development of service solutions and capabilities to help our customers define Data Governance and Information Protection in their environment using various solutions, assist with presales direction and activities, and participate in the delivery of consulting services within the Professional Service teams.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex topics into clear messages and must be consultative in focus with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning to bring the best solutions to our clients. The candidate will bring technical experience, solutions leadership, and business acumen to DGR Systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide service ownership and thought leadership through the understanding of how technology solutions can help solve business challenges and guide the development of services to meet those needs

• Ensure the execution of service delivery for our clients to a standard of excellence expected by our clients
• Maintain a high degree of technical and functional knowledge of many of the following:

• Data Classification
• Data Labeling
• Data Discovery
• Data Security Controls

• Microsoft 365 - General

• Microsoft Purview
• Varonis

• Engage with existing and prospective clients, partnered with our sales organization, to help identify technologies to solve client challenges and to design approaches for the deployment of those technologies to meet their needs
• Engage with the vendor partner community to align our team and focus with their sales and technical solution development where it makes sense
• Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, design sessions, proofs of concept, and pilots to explain, demonstrate, and prove to our customers the capabilities of Data Governance products and services, and how we can make their businesses more successful
• Craft, review, and present statements of work to our clients to outline service engagements with them

• Cultivate a current understanding of the IT marketplace for related technologies
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven consultative mindset and experience with the ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures
• Industry-leading experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructures and adjacent technologies, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards
• Advanced understanding and experience with Microsoft 365 products required
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, organizational, presentation, product demonstration, writing, and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated client-focus solutions provider excelling at understanding customer needs and translating those needs to solutions
• Serves as a role model to others for translating complex and technical information
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in specific industries such as healthcare or state and local government
• Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data architecture concepts
