Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler and ETL Specialist to lead the design and development of data models and ETL processes for diverse financial data sets. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS technologies and robust data handling skills to ensure alignment with business goals and operational needs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various financial data sets.
• Collaborate with product management and economic research teams to translate complex data requirements into effective data models.
• Ensure all data models effectively support transactional, analytical, and operational needs and are aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into data lakes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all data models and ETL processes to facilitate clarity and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with AWS technologies (S3, Redshift, RDS, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience with dbt and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Arrow, and Data Fusion.
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Monte Carlo and Atlan.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
