Crypto Backend Engineer

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Crypto Backend Engineer - candidates need to be based in US/Canada.

We're building a next gen mobile-first crypto trading product, combining the power of DeFi with the simplicity and engagement of popular consumers apps. The platform will re-imagine how users trade crypto by delivering institutional-grade trading capabilities through an intuitive, gamified mobile experience.

The founding team have built and scaled consumer products in crypto and the company is backed by a tier-1 VC. Currently operating in stealth.

We are looking for an obsessive backend engineer to join the team, working in a live-in team environment for the first 3 months to create an exceptional product.

To be clear, the team will live in a house together to get this product from 0-1 for approximately 3 months and likely make lifelong memories in the process. TBD on location, but it will be paradise.

There will be exactly 2 priorities in our lives during this time:

• Building this product and staying healthy.

Everything else (cooking & cleaning primarily) will be taken care of for you.

• Architect and build the backend using Golang or Node w/ a performant database
• Build and optimize third-party API integrations (Jupiter, Birdeye, Codex, Turnkey)
• Design efficient caching layers for price and metadata
• Implement websocket data aggregation for real-time trading
• Handle user management and authentication flows
• Set up monitoring for all third-party services
• Build abstractions that make the mobile app lightning fast

Requirements

+3 years of backend experience

Deep understanding of Solana + Base ecosystem and wallet architectures

Strong experience with secure key management systems

Knowledge of common attack vectors and security best practices

VERY Onchain - active trader and user of DeFi
