Role overview :

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Credit & Working Capital Manager to join our dynamic team at TerraPay.
This role is critical for assessing the creditworthiness of our B2B partners, ensuring optimal utilization of prefunding limits, and managing working capital efficiently.
Ideal candidates will bring a strong financial acumen, expertise in credit analysis within fintech/startups, and a passion for leveraging data to improve decision-making.

This is not a conventional lending role; we are looking for someone eager to innovate and redefine credit management practices in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

How you will create impact:

Responsibilities:

Credit Analysis and Risk Management:

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of business partners (not individual borrowers) by analyzing large datasets and company financials.
• Perform detailed due diligence, connecting data points to uncover risks and opportunities.
• Assess settlement credit limits and recommend adjustments based on data-driven insights and business objectives.

Performance Tracking and Working Capital Optimization:

• Monitor and analyze the utilization of credit limits, identifying inefficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide actionable insights to improve working capital management and advise on fund utilization strategies.
• Develop tracking mechanisms for deviations, regularly reporting findings and insights to senior management.

Process Innovation and Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement scalable, innovative credit evaluation frameworks.
• Introduce advanced data models and tools to enhance risk assessment and operational efficiency.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Leverage advanced Excel, data analytics tools, or fintech platforms to develop robust credit models and performance dashboards.
• Interpret complex datasets to provide clear, actionable recommendations for business growth and risk mitigation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with finance, treasury, and product teams to align credit strategies with overall business objectives.
• Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders in a structured, results-oriented manner.

Audit and Compliance:

• Maintain a vigilant auditing mindset to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory frameworks.

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience: 4-6 years in credit analysis, working capital management, or financial analytics within fintech, startups, or technology-driven companies.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency is a must. Experience with other analytics or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
• Qualifications: CA, CFA, FRM, or an MBA with a focus on finance.
• Mindset: Curious, analytical, and self-driven, with a knack for connecting dots and uncovering insights from data.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, capable of simplifying complex analyses for diverse audiences.
• Innovation: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where fresh perspectives and out-of-the-box thinking are valued.
