How You?ll Contribute: Kaufman Rossin has an exciting career opportunity for a?Cost Segregation Engineer?to join our dynamic Tax practice, in South Florida.? This is a great growth opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with knowledge of cost estimation, construction management, or tangible property services.? You will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers and tax experts to help our clients identify advantageous classification of assets.

• Assist with performing cost segregation and fixed asset studies from start to finish
• Coordinate and collect information from building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Conduct site visits to collect information
• Assist with providing detailed cost analysis of commercial/industrial building projects
• Perform quantity surveys from construction documents and physical site inspections
• Analyze construction cost data and design drawings
• Estimate construction costs using nationally recognized costing sources
• Actively contribute to the development of the cost segregation practice

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other relevant fields
• 1 - 3 years of Cost Segregation experience

• Ability to understand and analyze construction blueprints
• This position requires some local and national travel

• Experience with cost estimation, construction management, or tangible property services
• Excellent verbal communication and strong writing skills
• Enjoy complex and challenging project work
• Ability to work overtime when needed
