The Candymaker is responsible for creating and producing candy products in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking (especially making candy) and a strong understanding of the good manufacturing processes in a professional kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Working with company leadership, produce high quality handcrafted products including but not limited to marshmallows, fruit pates, marshmallow based treats
- Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes
- Cook ingredients to create candy products according to recipes
- Package candy products for retail and wholesale customers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations. ServSafe certification preferred
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in commercial kitchen, bakery or confectionery setting
Abie to work independently and as part of a team
Able to lift up to 35lbs
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Reliable transportation to our Falls Church, VA facility
ServSafe Certification preferred
