This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona

location in the Abbott Nutrition division.

What You'll Work On

Install,troubleshoot, repair, and maintainindustrial equipment, power, lighting, control, and PLC logiccontrolsfor all production process and control equipment. This includes allelectrical power(24 to 600 volts), automation controllers, VFDs, transducers, proximitysensors, and inspection devices.

Conductpreventative maintenancetasks for allelectrical equipmentand instruments.

Proficiently utilize a wide variety of tools andinstrumentationincluding, but not limited to, voltage tester, ammeter, megger,oscilloscope, hand tools, power tools, personal computers, vibration analyzers, and laser measurement equipment

Conduct project work/electrical upgrades and monitor contractor project work and upgrades.

Lead other employees, provide OJT for new employees to the department, and record and communicate shift activity in an organized manner.

Provide support to primaryplant operations.

Total plant equipment coverage includes (but is not limited to) packaging lines, processing, filling, warehouse, and facilities where necessary.

Assignmentsinclude respondingto equipment emergencies, troubleshooting system input/outputs and multiple sensing devices, communicating routinely with line personnel and supervision to maintain knowledge of the latest production schedule, communicating potential equipment problems to production and maintenance supervisors to allow scheduling of repairs, looking for andimplementingequipment and outputs, and finding analog control values in the PLC logic programming.

Responsible forimplementingand maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Maintain technical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses, on-the-job training, and vendor programs.

You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Understand electricity andelectrical theory, possess a working knowledge of computers, computeroperating systems, PLCs, electrical and pneumatic components and devices, and the ability to work safely in electrical panels with up to 480 volts.

Read electrical schematics andwiring diagrams, follow diagnostic and repair procedures from instrument equipment manuals on a wide variety of equipment requires training and experience inelectrical theory, electronics, plant systems, equipment and procedures.

Attention to detail and the ability to complete required documentation neatly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Electronics,

Electrical Engineering

The base pay for this position is $20.60 ? $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
