The Controller is responsible for oversight of the accounting department. Key job responsibilities will include supervision and tracking/evaluating day-to-day activities. The Controller will assist in developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information, as well as ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately. This individual will work closely with our financial management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Direct and lead the accounting team including assessing and enhancing team performance

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

Enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits

Lead month end close processes adhering to all deadlines, including account reconciliations, internal controls, and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Engagement with various Polaris corporate accounting functions and initiatives

Manage and maintain Accounting Policies and Procedures

Work cross functionally within Polaris Marine to support the business from an Accounting and Finance Systems standpoint

Assist Management with important financial decisions

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development in accounting practices
