Content Moderator - Work Worldwide

The House of Mercier is excited to announce an opportunity for a Remote Content Moderator to join our team from anywhere in the world. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for reviewing and moderating user-generated content across various digital platforms to ensure that online communities remain safe and welcoming. As a Remote Content Moderator, you will play a significant role in evaluating the appropriateness of content and enforcing community guidelines. • Monitor and assess user-generated content on a variety of platforms to ensure compliance with established community standards.
• Review posts, comments, and messages for appropriateness and relevance, making informed decisions to approve, flag, or remove content as necessary.
• Document and report instances of policy violations, including hate speech, misinformation, and harmful behaviors.
• Engage with community members to provide clarity on moderation policies and practices.
• Collaborate with the moderation team to provide insights and feedback on trends within the community.
• Maintain accurate records of moderation activities and contribute to performance reporting.
• Stay updated on best practices and the latest trends in online content moderation.

Requirements

• Fluency in English, with strong written communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Prior experience in content moderation, social media management, or a related role is preferred but not mandated.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess content accurately.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment in moderation decisions.
• Familiarity with various social media platforms and their community guidelines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for virtual communication and collaboration.
