Content Moderator For Social Media

The House of Mercier is excited to announce an opening for a Content Moderator for Social Media, with the flexibility to work remotely. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of online communities by moderating user-generated content across various social media platforms. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that content complies with community standards, promoting a positive and respectful environment for users worldwide. • Monitor and evaluate user-generated content submitted to prominent social media platforms for compliance with community guidelines.
• Review posts, comments, and messages to ensure that they are appropriate and in accordance with platform policies.
• Identify and report instances of policy violations, including hate speech, misinformation, harassment, and other harmful content.
• Engage with users by addressing inquiries regarding moderation practices and community conduct.
• Collaborate with the moderation team to share insights and develop strategies that enhance content management practices.
• Document moderation actions thoroughly and maintain records of moderation trends and performance metrics.
• Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media moderation.

Requirements

• Fluency in English with strong writing skills; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
• Previous experience in content moderation or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate content comprehensively.
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with popular social media platforms and relevant community guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote working environment.
