Construction & Code Inspector - Project-Specific

Magrym Consulting is seeking a dedicated Construction & Code Inspector for a project-specific role based in Midland, Texas. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and quality standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, proactive communication, and detailed documentation to support a successful project delivery.

This is a project-specific role tied to a civil construction contract in Midland County. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and certifications. Opportunity for extension or reassignment may be available based on performance and future workload.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or Associate's degree in construction, engineering, or inspection-related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience on civil or infrastructure projects, ideally in West Texas or similar environments.
• Strong familiarity with construction codes (IBC, IRC, ADA, local ordinances), civil plans , and industry inspection protocols.
• Proficient in reading site/civil plans, redlines, and construction details .
• Strong organizational and written communication skills; ability to produce thorough daily reports and documentation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently, outdoors in varying weather conditions, and communicate effectively with all levels of project personnel.

• Experience with TxDOT standards , County public works , or municipal projects in Texas.
• ICC Certification(s) or equivalent inspection credentials.
• Experience using Bluebeam , Trimble Business Center , or construction management software (e.g., Procore, E-Builder).
• Familiarity with coordinating QA/QC and testing labs .
