As an Associate Attorney in the Construction group, you will work closely with a team of experienced professionals, navigating both transactional and litigation aspects of construction law. • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution settings involving complex construction disputes.
• Advise clients on construction transactions, including contract negotiation, risk assessment, and project planning.
• Collaborate with peers in a collegial environment, tackling high-stakes legal challenges in construction law.

Requirements

• Education: JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Licensure: Active Tennessee Bar admission.
• Experience:
• 14 years of substantive experience in construction law, focusing on both transactional and litigation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to represent owners and developers in disputes such as delay claims, liens, compensation conflicts, and quality-of-work issues.
• Expertise in handling construction transactions, from project planning and design to negotiation and execution.
• Preferred Skills:
• Prior construction industry experience is advantageous.
• Courtroom and deposition experience is a plus.
• Superior legal writing and drafting skills.
